Irvin Ungar is the world’s foremost expert and collector of the art of Arthur Szyk. His authority on Szyk’s life and work is internationally recognized. Ungar has curated and consulted on numerous Szyk exhibitions at major institutions including: the Library of Congress; the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.; the Spertus Museum, Chicago; the Deutsches Historisches Museum, Berlin; and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (Palace of the Legion of Honor). He is the author of Justice Illuminated: The Art of Arthur Szyk and the curator of the traveling exhibition program of The Arthur Szyk Society. Ungar is also the CEO of Historicana, which co-produced the documentary film “Arthur Szyk: Soldier in Art” and published the new edition of The Szyk Haggadah.
